WE LIKE KING KRULE

At first, it may seem that the main appeal or selling point if you will, of King Krule is that he is young. This is pretty darn cool, noted. But if you look with your ears instead of your eyes, the sound of King Krule is one that is wise beyond its years and definitely worth a listen. The listen is what all musicians crave, they seek out the attention. King Krule doesn’t, his music simply exists and people are flocking to it. They are drawn to it and have been drawn to it ever since Zoo Kid, King Krule’s humble beginnings. I’ll leave it up to you to decide which name you prefer. Of course, I could give you the real name of the dude behind King Krule, but that would ruin the mystique a little. And you can probably just Google it anyway. It’s the melancholic nature of his voice, the sparseness of the instrumentals and the endearing quality of the young chap’s character that are capturing people’s imaginations. He sounds pretty down in the dumps, but he doesn’t make you feel sorry for him. I don’t quite know how he does it, but he makes you listen.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material? NO. Sorry King Krule, but your songs are serious downers.

Are they party playlist material? NO. Again, the death of the party when dropped in a DJ set.

Should you go and tell your friends? YES. You could, but they are probably already empathising with him as we speak.

WE LIKE PEACE

Peace use guitars to their advantage and throw together upbeat rhythms with distorted atmospheric whooshes. They manage to sound big, whilst retaining the finer details of their sound. The vocals add a hazy blur to the music; cryptic sentences sang with equal measures of conviction and laid back attitude. Also judging from the healthy doses of ‘ooh’ on their single “BBLOOD”, they aren’t afraid to have some fun with pop music-ish structures in amongst all the guitar driven mystery. Don’t worry, this love for Peace isn’t all based on one track, their live show has been witnessed by this humble writer. Let it be known that they have much more up their rolled up shirt sleeves. If you haven’t had the chance to see them live yet, it is advised. They have managed, in all their youthful wisdom, to combine the mass appealing sound of the guitar with that all important edge. Their visual aesthetic is rather disorientating but don’t let that put you off their music, give Peace a chance.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material? YES. If you want to yearn for your lover but aren’t very good at yearning, let Peace do the yearning. Just whack “BBLOOD” on the tape.

Are they party playlist material? NO. Deal with it.

Should you go and tell your friends? YES. Then you can all order one of their t-shirts with arguably the best logo ever.

WE LIKE ANGUISH SANDWICH

Individually minded rock has been doing the rounds since forever, but then so has punk and dance and rap and every other musical genre. Music has essentially become a process of recycling old ideas and coming at them from a slightly different angle. Anguish Sandwich, the brain child of the ever prolific Chris East, are putting their own angry filling into the sandwich of indie rock. And boy does it taste good. The reverberation is turned up to eleven, the drums are bashed with Meg White style simplicity and enthusiasm and the bass is played by their floor dwelling bassist who chooses to sit down at gigs. This quirk is slowly becoming legendary among Anguish fans and it just has to be mentioned. Music fans are lapping up their catchy, punchy and crunchy anthems. They are a welcome reminder of the fact that guitars + drums + bass + hollering = one of the best ideas around. The attitude running through Anguish Sandwich’s sound is a firm ‘why not?’ and you’d have to be a cold hearted ice queen/king not to agree. They keep it real.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?
NO. These guys should be filed under ‘fun’ rather than ‘romance’. But hey, do what you want to do.

Are they party playlist material?
YES. They make jumping in the air in time to the drums more fun than you ever would have thought.

Should you go and tell your friends?
YES. They probably know already, but if they don’t, you’ll be the coolest cat licker around.

WE LIKE BLOOD VISIONS

Blood Visions are one of those bands who aren’t afraid to crank it up a notch. Not only do they flick the switch to full throttle in the volume department, they make sure that each guitar strum, bass line, drum thwack and hormonal holler is exhilarating. Their frontman alone could work a room full of pumped up punk rock punters. He is a ball of a dozen rock star’s spat out chewing gum on stage, and it’s often hard to tell whether he’s nervous, angry or on a 30 minute sugar rush. The band can barely contain themselves and you’ll barely be able to contain their sound in your ears. They manage to pull of being incredibly abrasive whilst being incredibly anthemic. That’s no easy feat, especially when they are all still at sixth form (apart from occasional band member Matt King). They make music look like a young man’s game with their seemingly effortless ability to whip up punishing riffs and holler along choruses. Hailing from Northampton, England, this band of teens is set to run around the world, causing fellow like-minded youths to jump around, jump around, jump up, jump up and get down.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?
NO. They are not romantic.

Are they party playlist material?
YES. They will cause a circle pit no matter what dull-ass party they are played at.

Should you go and tell your friends?
YES. So you can get together and punch each other at one of their shows.

WE LIKE ARCHIVES

With their sights set on their feet and the sky simultaneously, Archives’ music makes one hell of an impression on the ears. Taking the loud/quiet structure explored by great acts like Cap’n Jazz before them and driving it into new directions, Archives make you want to shuffle. They are full of beautiful little contradictions: they are brash yet slick, confident yet fragile. You get the contradictory picture. They often sound like they are playing three different songs, but their sound wraps around itself to form an exhilarating sound that can sometimes be difficult to keep up with. But part of the fun is trying to keep up with the twitching guitars, the impatient drum patterns and the spluttering, hollering vocals of lead singer Lee Francis. Believe it or not, but they hail from the quiet town of Northampton. You’ll soon hear though, that it isn’t big enough for them. These young whipper-snappers want to make you dance and think at the same time. Why not let them?

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?
YES. Their emotional grasp is one that anyone would want to grasp.

Are they party playlist material?
YES. Their anthem “Youths” is full on pedal to the medal.

Should you go and tell your friends?
YES. Then you can all think up trendy dances to bust out at an Archives gig.

WE LIKE JACUZZI BOYS

What’s that coming this way? Hootering and a hollering, on a wave of beer and swimming bikini clad ladies? Why, it’s those cheeky Jacuzzi Boys! Armed with an arsenal of rompin stompin rock’n’roll belters, they are here to take over your town, and your best friend’s town. Their guitars are well amped, their drums tightly tuned and their bass thick and melodic. But the attitude is firmly “who gives a flying monkey brain! Let’s party!” Once you hear Jacuzzi Boys, you won’t want to do anything else apart from partay on down, and guess what will be on the stereo? Jacuzzi Boys of course! Their straight to the point approach is more refreshing than you might think. They do away with synths, recording methods, complex lyricisms, weird attitudes, philosophy and just get down to hammering it home. Jump in this jacuzzi, music fans. You won’t want to get out until the bubbles go flat. Which they won’t.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?
NO. They are too rock n roll for romance, or mix, or tape.

Are they party playlist material?
YES. Just count how many times PARTY!!! has been said.

Should you go and tell your friends?
YES. Whack them on the car stereo, drive around the neighbour throwing skittles into drains.

WE LIKE TORO Y MOI

Some people are just damn fine at making music. The genius behind Toro Y Moi is one of those people. You can either get mad at him for being so good or just enjoy his constantly impressive musical output. You may think “ugh he was so last year”. But that’s the genius behind this guy; he’s reinvented himself once more! He first caught the attention of everyone when he started releasing tracks leading up to his debut “Causers Of This” LP that completely blew everyone’s minds. It feels like a musical apocalypse has destroyed the world and everyone has retreated to their bedrooms and have started making their own solo beat projects. Toro Y Moi is the king of this ideal. He has his very own sound; not the sound of the underground, or the sound of the overground or a baby of both. You know when you are listening to Toro Y Moi. Where his debut had the appeal of a fragmented, dreams trying to be pieced together sound, he has already moved on from that signature sound. He has come back with a more defined sound, he’s got his mojo and he’s swaggering along streets made entirely of old photographs and all that stuff that’s related to bedroom pop. With the trademark quirks still intact of course! His sound is private and personal to him, but at the same time it draws you in and makes you feel like its personal to you too. He is a post-modern pop genius and an icon of D.I.Y music. He should be celebrated! I have done my best here, you should do the same!

Not content on just being the genre hopping Toro Y Moi, you can get your loopy dance fix from him with his side project: Les Sins. Check out his debut LP “Causers Of This” then groove on down to your local record store when “Underneath The Pine” crashes into the world! And if you get the chance to catch him live, don’t worry! He isn’t just a guy and a laptop, he’s got a full band jamming it out!

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Is he romantic mix tape material?
YES. His seductive croon is enough to melt any beings heart!

Are they party playlist material?
YES. Toro Y Moi has some serious groove thang.

Should you go and tell your friends?
YES. Toro Y Moi is your new GOD!

NORTH AMERICAN HAMSTERS

Hi,

As most of you are probably already fully aware, not to say sick to death reading about it, Spilt Milk (with Subroutine) has started a little online thing where we invite you to send us a photo of your neutral facial expression.

You can either send it to ihaveaneutralfacialexpression(at)gmail.com or post it on the wall of the I have a neutral facial expression Facebook page. We'll then put them on the I have a neutral facial expression blog and if we receive enough photo's we'll collect them in another booklet or something.

If you're on Facebook, January 31 - February 6 will be Neutral Facial Expresssion week, during which we invite you to change your profile picture to one with your face neutrally expressed.

We'd love for you to send us a photo of your neutral facial expression, and if send along your street adress we promise to send you some goodies (a sticker, a booklet, a hamster, we don't know yet) sometime. More info here. Thanks in advance!

Neutral facially expressed yours,

WE LIKE CULTS

It’s easy to forget the joy that the internet can bring. So if you find yourself losing faith in the internet, just remember that it brought the boy/girl duo Cults to the attention of the world. For a start, when do boy/girl pop duos fail to put a smile on the world’s face? Never. We’ve had pop couple Summer Camp, we’ve had the blissed out Memoryhouse and we’ve had the romance between the lead singers of Best Coast and Wavves. Now, we have a new couple making sweet sweet music under the moniker Cults. Make sure that when you google them, type in “Cults band” to save yourself from stumbling upon creepy pictures of actual cults. Don’t be put off by the name either, the music that Cults are making has a sweet disposition, not a desire to sway from side to side and sacrifice a chicken. They put modern pop groups to shame however, who may end up turning to sacrifice to get themselves a sound that’s even slightly close to the pop perfection of songs like “OMG” and “Go Outside”. Just two of the many pop gems Cults have up their sleeves. Just like the juxtaposition of their name and their sound, Cults’ songs combine world weary lyrics with tooth-rottingly sweet melodies that uplift the longing words. They are also full of obscure samples, twinkly bits and fresh to death drum beats. If I were to describe Cults as if I were a hip street-talking dude, it would sound something like this: “Cults are tearing up the game man, completely rinsing the jokers all over the map. I’m going to mind map it for you bro, they are sweet, you’d be high not to rinse the funk out of their records. Do it. Yezzir. Non-stop swag all the time.” You will love Cults, I promise. Maybe we should start a cult for Cults, maybe.

Cults have got some lovely songs up on their bandcamp, so wrap your hungry ears around those. I dare you to say they aren’t good, you wouldn’t be able to. Everyone is going a bit frothy at the mouth for them really, I know I am. Maybe it’s something to do with the vibrations in their music.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?

YES. The feeling of desire and longing in Cults’ songs is enough to ignite the fire in anyone’s heart.

Are they party playlist material?

NO. This is the kind of music to skip down the street to, I’m telling you from experience.

Should you go and tell your friends?

YES. Start a cult based around the teachings of Cults. It’ll be a larf and a harf.

WE LIKE WEIRD DREAMS

Sometimes a band sounds exactly like what their name tells you they are going to sound like. And it’s a very beautiful thing when this happens. With Weird Dreams, you know the drill when you read that name. It’s going to be something weird? SURE IS! They make conventional guitar pop into something weird but not to be feared. Their sound is something to be embraced by all of those out there who fell in love with kick ass D.I.Y London bands such as Male Bonding and Mazes. Weird Dreams do a great job of combining warped indie jangle with downright conventional pop hooks. It sounds slightly eerie, but it’s all together an intriguing sound. They have already played an Upset The Rhythm show in their native London town, and boy oh boy do Upset The Rhythm know what they are doing. D.I.Y bands that try and sound wrong are great, but D.I.Y bands that try and sound right in their own little way are hard to find. Weird Dreams are a rare example of trying to sound right and succeeding big style. Get listening so you can say you heard them before they got big. They are certainly a dream that you will want to recall when you wake up.

Weird Dreams released a cassette (D.I.Y till they die) on indie label Sleep All Day (awesome garage rockin label) and it sold out pretty darn soon (good sign). They have played some gigs with the likes of Ty Segall and Dignen Porch. And they have already found favour with Loud And Quiet magazine. They are going places, the buzz is mainly in London for now, but to cause a buzz in London is an achievement in itself. Nahwhatimsayin? “Weird Dreams” is also the name of this crazy looking computer game made for really old computers.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?

YES. The sweet melodies embedded in Weird Dreams will pluck on anyone’s heart strings. But be careful, too much Weird Dreams and you’re heart strings may need replacing from all the plucking.

Are they party playlist material?

YES. The upbeat pace of Weird Dreams will have feet a shuffling and hair a flicking all over the party floor. Nice one, anyone?

Should you go and tell your friends?

YES. You can be like the messiah of all things great to your friends, go forth and tell them. They will hang off your every word after. No promises though.

TAO LIN + SPILT MILK

We just went ahead and emailed New York-based lit boy, TAO LIN. We were curious about his facial expression. Amsterdam-based band Spilt Milk went ahead and made a song from the first page of his latest novel, ‘Richard Yates’. Read the book! It's fantastic.

Dear Tao Lin,

Would you mind replying to the questions stated below? It would be much
appreciated. I enjoyed, or rather, felt less depressed or maybe less aware
of my depressed state reading your latest novel 'Richard Yates'. It also stirred up memories
of me feeding my baby sister's russian dwarf hamster a pine nut, after which it got a severe
case of liquid faeces and died. Not kidding for once. They, the russian dwarf hamsters, are

sensitive creatures. Like cancers. Or pisces for that matter. It was cathartic. The stirring of
the memory, I mean. So, thank you for that, I guess. To keep this introduction short: I think
the readers of our little blog (who are all into Pitchfork and American Apparel tights)

would really relate to your input. Let's do this for the kids. Thank you!

*Are you wearing something you stole from American Apparel.*
 – Underwear.

*Could you share with us a vegan recepy you which includes marrow and/or soy whip?*
 – I thought marrow was not vegan, isn't it inside bones? I've never
made anything with soy whip. Maybe soy whip, cucumber juice, and
bananas for a smoothie.

*What's your favourite Naked Gun scene?*
 – I don't remember that movie well. Maybe whenever it shows him making
a strange facial expression.

*Are you more a Gunther or a Chandler?*
 – I don't know who Gunther is and haven't read any Chandler.

*Did you ever use the zipcode 90210 for an online registration?*
 – No.

*Do you have an opinion about the new No Age album?*
 – I have never heard "No Age," I honestly don't know what that is.

Happy hamster 'unwittingly' leaving his hamster friend in a state of 'severe depression' by Tao Lin

Lyrics:

I've only had the opportunity to hold a hamster once
It's paws were so tiny
I think I cried a little

I saw a hamster eating its babies
I wanted to give it a high five
But it didn't know what a high five was

I have a neutral facial expression

I would eat my babies if I had some
But I don't have any babies
How old are you
16
It's probably good I don't have babies
You are not 16 you are like 29
No I am 16
I drew a hamster on a piece of paper today
Then I threw it on top of a recycling bin full of paper
So whenever anybody recycles paper
The hamster will look at them
And be cute for them
That's cute

I have a neutral facial expression

hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi
hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi

I feel bored of life
Or wait I don't know
Nevermind
I'm giving up on life
Even more
Wait I already did
Even more I am

I have a neutral facial expression

TQQUNDO FRRRRR

Felix Lee’s organic sound-puzzles bud from eerie tinkles and hushes and swell into drip-drip-drippy fruits of Tqqundo Frrrrr. This bright youngster from London could be Lucky Dragons’ tall little brother as he dings and dongs, chimes and ka-chings, loops, layers and morphs with the virtuosity of a sage witch doctor. And if you listen in closely, there’s a tad of tomfoolery in it all, to counter all that grown-up shit. It’s two Q’s and five F’s, look for the link on his MySpace for a free album download.

WE LIKE SCREAMING FEMALES

Screaming Females blast out a ferocious style of their own which is like a pic and mix tub of styles. Just imagine, put all your favourite guitar based music genres in the form of sweets into your mouth and chew. They come at you with an alternative pop punk assault with lashings of metal licks, power chords and riot grrrl vocals. The sweet sweet riffs just seem to come effortlessly with a solo here, a catchy guitar riff there. They can shred! They can noodle! They rip the roof off with enough energy for five bands! And at certain points in their songs, their name is becomes very literal. You scream, I scream, we all scream for Screaming Females.
With three albums released, it’s easy to get your Screaming Females fixed. They are touring all over the shop, so you have no excuse not to miss them live. And if you do miss them, they might come after you and scream at you.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?
NO. Best to keep this off any “romantic” mix tapes. You’ll see why after listening to them.

Are they party playlist material?

YES. Their songs are said to induce fits of air guitar, head banging and moshing.

Should you go and tell your friends?

YES. Whether your friend is a punk, a rocker, a metal head, a weirdo or even a smelly person, they will dig the Screaming Females sound.

WE LIKE WAVVES

Wavves have received a lot of bad press, but with the bad press comes the good press. Good press such as what you are about to read. Wavves burst onto the musical scene with two albums of laid back jams and killer songs all made by one Nathan Williams. They came to define the sound of a new musical genre being tagged as “no-fi” among other things. The guitar chords are chirpy and leap from distorted grunge to peppy jangle in the stamp of a pedal. The drums pound and the bass rumbles, just like the rhythm section should. And you’ll be snarling back the trademark hooks and lyrics from Nathan Williams right back at him in no time. They are one of the most essential bands around right now, still ahead of the game without even trying, how cool is that?

Not content with just being an awesome band, Wavves are always touring, so catch them in America AND the United Kingdom rocking out.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?

YES. The anthem “Post Acid” captures that amazing feeling when you meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Are they party playlist material?

YES. Wavves are the birth, life and after life of the party. Including yours.

Should you go and tell your friends?

YES. They probably already know, depending on how cool they are, but if they haven’t, then boy oh boy are you guys in for a treat!

WE LIKE SEX BEET

Sex Beet are masters of combining buzz genres. They have the punk attitude, the fuzzy lo-fi production, the surf style guitar lines and most importantly the tunes. It’s like all the best bits of modern underground rock bands have been spliced together to create a genre defining band. This new wave of noisy, lo-fi indie bands is brilliant. Some are taking it to the mainstream (Wavves and Best Coast) but Sex Beet are definitely keeping it in the down and dirty underground with their fuzzy riffin’ and sharp singing. Like your guitar music with a lick of surf and a heap of fuzz? Look no further than Sex Beet, they will be all you need, for like, forever. Dude.
Sex Beet have been included on some cool compilations: the Gruff Trade compilation from Rough Trade and the Dance Magic Dance tape comp. They also have some seven inch splits with The Castillians. So there’s a clue that anyone who is into music, knows they are something cool enough to release. They are also playing the Vice Issue Launch show on the 16th September, and Vice have their finger on the garage rock pulse. Dance, dance, dance to the beet of Sex Beet!

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?

NO. Sex Beet are far too rock and roll to be on any mix tape, they would make all the other songs on it feel nervous. Instead, why not buy your favourite person a Sex Beet 7”, they are the new thing!

Are they party playlist material?

YES. Sex Beet are crucial to any cool party, just picture it now: your house, your friends and Sex Beet on the stereo. Damn! That is one heck of a party.

Should you go and tell your friends?

WE LIKE BATHS

The Baths sound can only be described as ‘new’. The word ‘new’ describes the music made by the man who goes under the name Baths perfectly. It sounds electronic because it’s made using electronic technology and a lot of music at the moment is made with computer programmes and synths and so you may end up just writing off Baths as another one of those electronic bed room stars. Make sure you don’t. Make sure you listen to his music turned up loud through headphones. Then you will agree it sounds like the future, of electronic music. It’s minimalist, and so the beats have room to breathe in the space of each track. The jittery style at which the beats are paced is obscure but in no way unnerving. Overall, the sound of Baths is a chilled and relaxed one. It’s dreamy and has its head permanently in the clouds. And yet it seems to be looking beyond the quite dark style of dance and electronic music today. It’s either too deep in bass or too deep in lo-fi haze. Baths is like swimming to the top of a swimming pool and breathing fresh air. It’s the perfect escape to a technology fuelled world and yet it’s made with the very same thing.

Baths has just released his debut album on Anticon records, I suggest you get it in your life. He is also on tour right now with El Ten Eleven and has played shows with Jogger. He is a busy boy, and rightly so! The world needs his music. He is also getting the attention his music deserves in various big name magazines. Go on, jump into Baths.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?

NO. Baths may not be romantic mix tape material but they are destined to be on that wonderous mix tape you make for your friends to try and educate them in new music.

Are they party playlist material?

YES. The minimal beats that make up Baths tracks will make you want to nod your head and wiggle your leg.

Should you go and tell your friends?

YES. If you know anyone who is into their electronic music then Baths will be a welcome addition to their tastey taste in music of the electronic variety.

WE LIKE TUBELORD

Never mind being the lord of the tube, Tubelord are the lords of crazy off-kilter guitar pop. Blending styles like a yummy cake of post hardcore, progressive rock and pop, Tubelord have high appeal with both rockers and poppers and everyone who just loves music with a complete disregard for conventional song structures or time signatures. You can totally pull shapes to Tubelord but they will make you move in totally new ways. The drums go nuts with various beats in the space of a minute, the guitars have a split personality between lovely noodlings and crippling breakdowns and the bass is played faster than most bass is ever played! Then to top it all off, the vocals add the key pop element, the lyrics are surreal yet heartfelt and every chorus makes you want to sing it right back at the band. It’s impossible not to fall in love with them, they are lovely chaps making crazy music.

Their debut album “Our First American Friends” is out now on Hassle Records, a great label for fresh guitar music. They have played shows with Tall Ships, Blak Fish, Colour and many more. They have released an acoustic version of their debut album and a new EP of fresh songs.

QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION:

Are they romantic mix tape material?

YES. Tubelord capture innocence and frustration in their songs that can often capture exactly how you feel.

Are they party playlist material?

YES. You can flail your arms around and pull some shapes you never thought you could pull to Tubelord. And it will feel good.

Should you go and tell your friends?

YES. Everyone needs Tubelord in their lives, they are good for the mind, body and soul. No doubt.

WE LIKE BEST COAST

Sometimes, band's names just fit them so well. Best Coast is one of those bands. First up, their music is the kind of sweet, breezy tuneage you hum along to with your feet buried in the sand of your favourite beach. And secondly, they are the best at what they do. Best Coast is also one of those bands that make critics spew out buzz words like crazy: summer, breezy and sun drenched to name a few. There is a thriving new scene of bands taking inspiration from old 60s pop and surf pop bands, but none of them capture that sound and feeling of love and innocence like Best Coast. Her vocals are lovely, they aren't too twee or too miserable. She sings with a perfect balance, and such a talent combined with a nack for writing hooks and melodies that wont leave your brain for days, Best Coast is truely something refreshing. She's an awesome new pop star for the more alternative kids out there. Shes not overproduced or even overhyped. And her fans don't simply like her, they adore her.

Releasing 7"s all over the shop on various labels such as Art Fag and PPM, Best Coast's debut LP will be released on Mexican Summer. It's entitled "Crazy For You" and will be available from Mexican Summer in America and Rough Trade in the UK. They have played shows with Abe Vigoda, Vivian Girls, Zola Jesus and No Age. Best Coast will go on tour with Male Bonding too, from the 16th September. Catch her live while you can, she sounds just like the records!!!

YES. Best Coast is one of the new generation of pop stars, taking inspiration from the old and making it new. Im sure if your friends are like minded as you dear reader, or even if they aren't, they will appreciate being told about Best Coast.
